IMAGINATION STATION with Miss Mikayla
This class uses movement, body, voice and the imagination as our youngest thespians travel to their favorite places, including the jungle, underwater, enchanted lands and more! A special guest appearance from “Little Light Princess Company” makes this exciting class magical for all!
Track 1 Ages: 3 – 4 Tuesdays 2:30 – 3:00 or Thursdays 2:30 – 3:00

ACTING UP! with Miss Mikayla
Using theatre games and exercises students will learn the basic tools of an actor and how to use their bodies, voice and imagination to create characters. Concentration, listening, spontaneity and more will be taught as part of the actor’s toolbox. Students will work with short scenes to understand given circumstances and objectives and to present online at the end of the session.

Improv is one of the best things you can do to improve your acting and it’s FUN! Learn the fundamentals of improvisation while working on listening, creativity, staying in the moment and staying connected, which we all need at this time! The class will focus on the basics of agreement, creating environment, relationship, characterization and both short-form and long-form improv. The last class will include an online presentation for family and friends. Taught by Robin Braun.

Using a variety of acting techniques and exercises, students will work on scenes and monologues to create character, identify objectives, beats & tactics, and an emotionally honest performance. Students will be expected to rehearse material outside of class hours. The last class will be an online presentation of the work. Taught by Robin Braun

Tuition: 8 weeks/ $120
The focus of the class is the completion of a short play and will include writing exercises focused on dramatic structure, and narrative and character development.
Utilizing feedback from the instructor, students will write several drafts, refining the play to serve their vision. The final class will be readings of the completed manuscripts for family and friends on Zoom. This class requires work outside of scheduled hours. Taught by Robin Braun.

New! PLAY- READING COLLECTIVE
This group is for all who love to read plays, from experienced actors who want to hone their craft to those who have always wanted to be act, (but never wanted to do it onstage), and for those who want to get together and connect in an expressive and thoughtful class. Each week the group will focus on a different author and will include a reading of the play as well as an exploration into character and script analysis. The group will need to access the script online. An email will be sent to each participant to make sure everyone is reading from the same script. Parts will be distributed at the start of each weekly session and will be assigned regardless of age, gender, or race. Taught by Robin Braun.

Week 1 (9/8 & 9/10) – “A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry (first play written by an African American woman to be produced on Broadway)
Week 2 – (9/15 & 9/17) – “The Laramie Project” by Moises Kaufman & the Tectonic Theatre Project (written in response to the 1998 murder of a young gay man in Laramie, Wisconsin)
Week 3 – (9/22 & 9/24) – “A Doll’s House” by Henrik Ibsen (Written in 1879 and considered shocking in its time, the play explores the fate of a married woman in a male-dominated society.)
Week 4 – (9/29 & 10/1) “Angels in America (Part One)” by Tony Kushner ( Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Tony Award for Best Play, the play examines AIDS and homosexuality in America in the 1980s)

Group Vocal Training with Marisol Morales-Dow
Discover your voice and have lots of fun! Achieve the voice of your dreams! Sing with confidence! Students will work on singing techniques and learning songs. Song selection will be based on their skill level, and interest. Other topics that will be discussed include vocal care and maintenance. The session will end with an online presentation for family and friends.

Adult Group Vocal Training with Marisol Morales-Dow
Calling all shower singers! This class will get you out of the shower to sing your favorite songs for family and friends, and onto the stage. Explore a variety of singing styles such as classical, pop, Broadway, rock, jazz, blues, big band, gospel, R&B, country, and international singing. You will practice skills such as vocal tone, pitch, intonation, phrasing, vibrato, riffing, articulation, diction, range, expression, and breath support. The session will end with an online presentation for family and friends.

College and Show Auditions! (Group class taught by Marisol Morales-Dow)
Set yourself up for success getting into your dream program or show! In this class, you will get professional advice on selecting and preparing the best songs and/or monologues for your audition. You will work on techniques and skills to highlight your strengths and building your confidence.
